Scott Olsen will make his first rehab start with Double-A Hagerstown on Saturday night against the Rome Braves.
Olsen last pitched for the Nationals on May 21 -- a game he exited early because of inflammation in his pitching arm. An MRI came back negative, but Olsen was put on the disabled list to give his arm time to heal.
He was 2-2 with a 3.77 ERA in eight starts prior to going on the DL.

Storen gives up homer in Hagerstown debut

The Nationals' second pick in the 2009 draft, Drew Storen, gave up a solo homer in his professional debut in Hagerstown Thursday night. Context from the Suns' official post-game wrap-up:
The BlueClaws picked up a quick unearned run in the first when Lakewood’s Anthony Gose reached on a fielding error by Suns’ first baseman Tyler Moore and scored two batters later on a Steve Susdorf single. In the second, Lakewood’s Jeremy Hamilton tagged Frias for a two-run homer before the BlueClaws added another unearned run for a 4-0 lead.
In the bottom of the third inning, the Suns cut that lead in half, keyed by a leadoff walk from the lineup’s newest member. Designated hitter Travis Reagan started off the inning with a walk in his first plate appearance since joining the team on June 15. Reagan, who appeared in 58 games for Hagerstown in 2008, came around to score the Suns’ first run on an error by Lakewood third baseman Travis Mattair. Two batters later, Moore shot a sacrifice fly into right field to score centerfielder Chis Curran and pull Hagerstown to within two.
In the fifth, the BlueClaws grabbed one of those runs back against another Sun making his debut, relief pitcher Drew Storen. The tenth-overall pick by the Washington Nationals in the 2009 Major League Draft, Storen was added to the Hagerstown roster back on June 13 but not activated until prior to Thursday night’s action. On just the second pitch of his professional career, the former Stanford University standout surrendered a solo homer to Lakewood’s Travis d’Arnaud, staking the BlueClaws to a 5-2 lead.
The line on Storen: 1 inning pitched, giving up 2 hits, 1 run, and notching 1 strikeout. His ERA stands at 9.00.
